#Blaugust2023 the "You Allowed What" Editor Blues
I recently reviewed the manual for a training program at work that has been in place for several years. It has me asking one big question, “Do others notice a lack of quality or do they just avoid saying anything?”
In my review, I found screenshots of Excel tables (you can tell because the Excel controls were captured in the screenshot or, more egregiously, one had a red line under a word that needed attention). The company logo looks xeroxed on certain pages mostly because it includes whatever was on the other side of the page. There are also two different notes page templates (with no functional differences) despite notes pages being throughout the manual.
If this were released in the tabletop realm, people would rightfully laugh at this thing, but at work, despite paying top dollar for the program, it has been allowed to exist without question. I can’t be the only person triggered by this sort of thing …
